Tyler Rhodes, studente di animazione della Virginia Commonwealth University, ha ideato Evolutionanimation un telefono senza fili per immagini. Lo scopo è far evolvere i disegni di animali attraverso un processo analogo a quello avvenuto durante l’evoluzione: un processo emergente, come nell'albero della vita di Darwin.. Per farlo Tyler ha coinvolto i bambini di due scuole elementari di Richmond (Virginia, USA) ( William Fox e Patrick Henry School of Science & Art ), a partire dal disegno di una salamandra. "A collaborative animation in which I took 5 groups of people and simulated evolution with them in the course of an hour. From those groups I amassed about 460 drawings, which I then turned into an animation. This animation here involves the group from Patrick Henry School of Science and Art and is roughly 100 or so of their creatures, with their own unique ending to the animation- the Ice Age."
